1. You will need a "torx" socket set and a socket wrench.

2. Each seat is held on by 4 bolts; after removal of these said bolts, be sure to remove the passenger sensor unit from below the seats before yanking the seat out of the car. (both seats have this)

3. Take the seats out of the car and grab a beer.

4. If you plan on going with after market seats, you will need seat brackets. I suggest going for Wedge Engineering brackets, just because they are top notch quality and they know their stuff.

5. Slap your new seats in.

Oh, and buy a reputable aftermarket seat.. that eBay stuff may not hold up well in an accident..

Thanks, I might just go for the leather set covers.

How do I remove the sensors and put them back? It just seems the seat needs to be removed to actually put a seat cover on well.

The seat covers are the way to go. (I actually did half and half on my car.. LOL

But you honestly do not need to remove the seats to install the seat covers.. Clazzio first prototyped their seat covers on my car and when they started producing them, they installed the finished product with no removal of my seats.

You should hit Cali_Yaris up, he could probably get you a deal on seat covers.

Please forgive me for being so vague. When I meant half and half, I meant that I have a Clazzio seat cover on my passenger seat and a Sparco bucket seat for the driver's side.

Yep removed my seats to install the Clazzios. Loosened the bolts to allow for the seats to be tipped far enough back to unclip the the sensor wires then finished removing the bolts and lifted out. Hard part for me was to lift and angle enough so as not to hit paint when drawing them out. Removal made cover installation quick.
