Whining noise from engine bay when under load.

I am the owner of a imported Vitz CVTi 1.3 2006 that i have owned for 2 years. Since I have had this car I have had a whining noise that develops on the right hand side of the engine compartment when the engine is under load ( up hill) and at high revs (running hotter). I have excluded it coming from the gearbox since the same whing noise can be heard once the box is shifted into Neutral. Once back to normal driving conditions the whining noise dissapears. Could it be the belt or a bearing of the sort? Car is in very good condition and well looked after. Mileage 62000K. Any suggestions? Thanks Joe

Someone else said there is a whiny sound from the air intake, from air being sucked in... Idk.

Time to replace the hamster - the original one is obviously getting old...
