View Full Version : TRD rear sway bar install
I've been reading on here for a while and noticed conflicting answers.Does if make a difference whether a rear sway bar is installed with the car jacked up versus on the ground?
I would think that if the car is on jack stands, you could more easily adjust one side or the other to align the holes better if needed.
it really doesn't take that much more to put the car on jackstands. I would think just get the tires off the ground and the weight off the suspension.
I haven't put one on but that is just my assumption from what I have read and the way it looks like it goes on. I plan to put one on from microimage at some point. they have a 19mm one and a 23mm one. I think the TRD one is the equivalent to the 19mm one so you could save some green and get it from garm.

no difference. taking the passenger side rear tire off makes it easier
to bolt up the bar (extra reach around the muffler) but you don't have to.
Or just climb under there and bolt it on, no jacking required.
