Hey All,

OK so i'm about to take a trip down from Malawi to South Africa to tinker with my white Vitz RS... Its time for some new shoes as the 15" Alloys just weren't cutting the cheese on the looks... I have attached a pic of how i kind of see the car looking with some 17s but im a little bit stuck for choice...

So, im stuck between these two types of Rims, in 17".. You decide, should i go for the Anthracite Rims, or the Black with Red Stripe Rims??!

PS, don't worry about the PCD, these wheels are available in 4/100 PCD as well, i checked! LOL

am I the only one that found it funny that his factory rims were not "cutting the cheese"? (lol)

honestly I like black rims. I would think that unless you already have red accents on the car, you wouldn't want ones with the red stripe. there again, that may just be personal preference

@brendan, I tried to get em from Autostyle and the guy said 'oh no, they're out of stock and won't be available for a month' , and then when i called tiger Wheel & tyre, they said they have them in stock.. A little more expensive, but i can't wait another month for nice wheels, i'm impatient, LOL!

@BEEF, the only red accent i have on the car is a thin red beading just under the grille 'a la GTi' style... and the RS badge of course...

I know the feeling but it is never a good idea to be impatient. .. LOL

OK so after spending the WHOLE day calling every branch of Tiger Wheel & tyre in South Africa, nobody has ANY of the above wheels in Stock or can get them from their suppliers. Beats me why company's have websites if the don't update em often!
Anyhow, to beat the conundrum, I am going for some JDM-Style Advanti Vigorosa N993's in 17"... However, will paint the Black sections Anthracite instead...

That's a great looking wheel. BTW, it's also available in silver and bronze, both with polished undercut. If you prefer a darker colour, then the bronze would look outstanding on your white Vitz!

Hi,

Just wanted to ask if anyone has any thoughts in my overall wheel setup:

The Advanti's are 7.0 x 17", with an offset of +48... I intend to fit 205/45/17 Tyres (our roads here are not good so i need the sidewall), and my car is lowered.. i'm guessing 1.5 - 2" (spring brand unknown, all i know is that the springs are yellow and are JDM as they came with my RS when it was imported from Japan..

Any input much appreciated!
