they had no idea what i was talking about. i showed them the picture straight from the website (this is for an '11 5-door hatch yaris)
http://www.toyota.com/img/vehicles/2011/yaris/gallery/full/2011_yaris_gal_e_04.jpg
where the parts guy replied, "i don't know where you got that pic from, but we don't carry those parts"
this is a bit frustrating. i e-mailed sparks toyota and haven't had an official reply with part numbers except a reply to ask my local dealer
any help please? does toyota really not carry these parts?

Perhaps that is Canada only RS model and not available as a kit..?

Nope. The 'S' in the States is the same. There are lots of threads about people trying to find the 'S' kits. Nobody has ever had any luck.
Part #'s? http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showpost.php?p=558139&postcount=14
Maybe someone should go to a major collision repair franchise and ask what they would do if one of those lips needed replacing.
I can guarantee that whenever they do eventually get sourced, they will be huge $$$$$$$$.

I know where there is a cdn 5dr rs sittin on a dealer showroom... might be able to swipe the vin..
For the sides.. my dealer has been putting together a price for me, so she is at $900 cdn for the sides before paint (but that includes hardware)
I had no issues finding the sides from rockland and mebbe even sparks, look for mudguards..

He replaced the entire front bumper facia with one from a 2010.

And if so can I just go to a Toyo dealer and ask to get these parts ordered?

the reason why you need the vin is because they are scarce in part for the us because of the tsunami and they only want you buying parts for your vehicle.. i bought the 09-11 rear lip and put it on my 08.. i can find out the parts number from the dealer because im good friends with the people in the parts department to clear up all of the confusion and frustration...

I came across a 2010 RS rear bumper with spoiler that I mounted on my '06. I should have taken pictures of it when it was all in pieces.
I would imagine that a purchased rear spoiler would come with all necessary pins and clips required for mounting.
The issue you will have with the spoiler (both front and rear) is the series of tabs along the upper edge. There are about a dozen of these that will require slots about an inch long to be cut into the bumper. Once inserted into the slots, clips are pushed into these tabs to secure it in place. I don't know if the tabs could be cut off, and the spoiler secured with 3M tape. This would atleast spare the tricky task of cutting slots in the bumper.

this is correct, if you have an 09-up it is a direct fit and the back of the bumper shows where to cut(according to the instructions), if you have an 08-under it wont fit perfectly.. it does come with all the clips and instructions on how to install of it... it was the scariest thing in the world to do the slots.. especially since i have an 08..
here is how mine looks currently...
