Hey, Yaris World Buds! I haven't been here in a long time and I hope all of my old friends are doing well.

I thought this info might be useful for folks who are torn between purchasing a Yaris or a Corolla. As many of you know, I traded-in my 2009 Yaris Sedan for a 2010 Corolla S about a year ago.

I kept track of every gallon of gas ever pumped into the Yaris since the day I picked it up and have done the same for my Corolla.

I averaged 36.78 MPG on the Yaris for 21,601 miles before trading it in. The corresponding figures for the Corolla are 31.90 MPG and 16,015 miles.

This should be a good real world comparison for anyone interested. The cars were driven by the same guy over the same roads under the same conditions.

The Yaris was a great little car and so is the Corolla S. They are both fun cars to drive.

We had an 2000 Prizm ( Corolla ) with 4 speed auto that averaged 35 m.p.g. overall . That was before using better tactics for mileage . Sure it could have been higher . Great car until it was totaled by another driver in a S.U.V.:frown: . Just got it payed off as well , never fails  .
