Body Kit Arrived!

Yea! My body kit showed up yesterday, and it looks really good (quality wise). It's already at the shop being color matched. I'll drop Venom off on Tuesday morning to have it installed and will have pics up hopefully that night if I get the chance! Woohoo!!!:thumbup:

nice cant wait to see the final product.......though side skirts and the front bumper are easy to fit on.......im still clueless on how to remove the rear bumper ....im talking about the hatch..

they might charge u more just to fit it on....id say just get it painted and fit it on urself.....

Generally speaking you want to test fit the kit before paint since no kit is perfect. Most of the time it needs a bit of sanding at the seams to get everything 100%.

on my previous car, in the hatch area, under a trim peice, there were 3-4 bolts to undo, then the bumper could be "slid'off with a few good hits of the palm to the wheel well areas.

I'm sure the yaris is the same, reverse engineering is the way to do it...

im 95% sure it will fit..............5% will go to the manufacturer if they made the kit with the wrong dimensions...


Like people in da forums or anywhere else would think that a 5Door Hatch Bodykit wont fit a 3door hatch or vice versa....but it will cuz the only difference is the size of the doors. Unless the side skirt is huge and was only made for the 3Door version.

Still no pics because still no kit. The stupid body shop hasn't finished them yet. I've heard "They should be ready tomorrow" five days in a row now. I'm just going to show up there on Monday and bring a tent with me. That way when they say, "They'll be ready soon", I'll just start putting up my tent and say, "I'll just wait here.":slice:

UPDATE:

It wasn't fitment issues, it was paint issues. They said that the paint had a "reaction" to the fiberglass, but I think they just did a lousy job prepping the kit. All is well now, though and the kit should be on by 1700 tonight. Maybe I'll have pics up within 48 hours, but we're in the middle of a move, so it may be longer. I now have to find some good fog lights to install as well. Any recommendations?

Its very unfortunate Venom left the forums without letting us see the resolution of his saga. Having said that, this kit is for sale in the classified section for mucho cheap and I haven't seen a private owner yet rock the kit. Who will be first?

tomorrow i get my yaris back from the shop, i had that kit put on. i will get pics for you guys. im excited :D

so far ive got a new deck in my car, custom seat covers, 18" konig sideways wheels and tinted windows. i wasnt going to be able to afford the kit until i finished school, but one day my poor yaris got smashed at a stop light, so i just decided to upgrade to the body kit then.

im excited to see how it looks

i know with mine they had to do some custom fitting, which is why it took so long for them to finish. they keep bragging about how good it looks (the shop its in) but im still a little worried. but yeah if i were him i would have posted pics the day i got it (which is what i will be doing!) i get it in about 9 hours :)

guys guys, venom has his kit installed already....this is old old dead thread...check venoms newer threads...i know there are pics of it in the one where he is trying to sell his car.

i liked the earlier pics of this kit with the stock looking grill...but in venoms pics he had some some mesh in the grills, and it just looked way to big and gapingly ricey...

i cant wait to see yours though deederz, hope it looks better than she shots i saw of venoms...because i am also in need of a new front bumper...

Is that poor paint matching for the bumper? Also, how did that front upper grille get in there. I dont see any lines. is it moulded in? How is fitment? The only thing i'm concerned with is i dont see it lining perfectly by the fenders both front and rear.
