I got a double din pioneer head unit from my friend from his mustang he sold. Best Buy wants $145 which includes parts and labor to put it in. Should I attempt myself or no? I usually don't like to mess with electronics, but I'm somewhat handy as I've done my intake, strut bar, and lowering springs. Any ideas?

It's super easy if u follow the wiring kit directions. Everything is colorcoded. Do it yourself IMO. I do, it takes me about 40 minutes and I take the time to seal and heatshrink every connection.
If the headunit has a screen in it you'll need a 5 pin relay to bypass the emergency brake sensor.

Make sure you get the right kit...but as maz mentioned, it is really easy. color to color on the harneses for the most part.

I forgot to mention, I'm also colorblind(red/green)...and I can still do it. It's really very easy.

Unless they step up their game though it is a real crap shoot from store to store. I would try and look up some reviews for the local store first and have that assist with making a decision.

Do It Yourself!!!! Its Easy, I installed my DOuble Din Pioneer. Just make sure you have the right bracket. Do the wiring on a nice clean workspace using wiring kits ofcourse. It really is always a crap shoot with a store. No matter what they always seem to scratch, a planel or break a clip or two, or just not put together something right. Better off you do it your self and atleast should something go wrong ie, loose wire. you could fix it. But most of the time you will be absolutely fine!!
