Just ordered my Tein STechs for my 10LB and I have a couple questions...
Is there some DYI instructions for this. I cant seem to find one..
If you would recommend cutting the bumpstops and if so how much. Thanks for the help!!
I'll be sure to post pics of before and after

no prob. Ive heard a lot of good things about MicroImage and the price was good so it was a no brainer. Springs should be in tomorrow (just as planned, not late) and will probably throw them on this weekend. Ill be shopping from MicroImage very soon again!!

How about a picture? I just picked up a used set of Tein sTechs (which I will be installing this weekend) and am dying to see what my car is going to look like with them on.

*This is from the write up linked. Cut and keep the right side. I made the mistaking of being conservative and kept the plastic and had to go back in there a second time! Yes, a second time!! (I put in the S. Techs)

*For the front, you might want to invest on a angled wrench

*Leverage is your friend. Prepare to give the allen wrench some extra leverage in the front. In the back- moar leverage for the wrench.

*One side at a time so you can use the other side for reference.

It's a great write-up.

I gut the bumpstops to the specs that Tein suggests in the provided instructions. I believe it was like 2 inches of cut, it's been quite a while since I did it. Love the Teins!

Nice! I never got to mine this weekend, since I spent the weekend working on the house, replacing a door and window and residing an entire exterior wall.

To post pics, you can either click on the "reply" button on the bottom left and then click on the paperclip icon and select the files from your computer, or you can upload them to an outside site (like photobucket) and then paste the image link into your reply text.

Is it true that lowering springs hurt ur shocks? Also can you buy bump stop that are already shortened?

^ Using lowering/stiffer springs can shorten the life of your struts/shocks, but it won't hurt them for quite a while.

Cutting the bump stops is very easy to do, and you can always buy stock ones again if you ever need them.

Guys with Tein Springs, did you feel a slight slight change in your steering it feels a lot like firmer now....I don't have drag neither left nor right but the steering to me became firmer is this normal???

My steering felt more crisp w/ my springs too

charlieXX

it does feel like that, did you notice any bending on the rubber of the rack and pinion? or maybe just my perspective as I took a peek from top of the engine around the exhaust area

My steering felt more crisp w/ my springs too

Are my observations correct, did this happen to you guys as well that the rack and pinion now is a bit bent or should I say curved like this can you please peek into your bonnets and see it from the top on the exhaust side.

Never even looked at that. I will take a look later today. Maybe one of our suspension gurus can chime in with an expert opinion.

Checked mine too, its fine. Were you like forcing the axel down to fit the sway links back in?
