Hey guys,
Been driving my 07 Yaris RS for a month now.
I've been noticing every 12-15 starts, that it can take up to a full 5 seconds of turning over before it'll start up.
Any idea what might cause that?

old spark plugs, fouled MAF sensor, bad battery.

Yeah how many miles you got? The plugs that come with the Yaris are good for 100K miles. I got mine new, its at about 92K now and sometimes it takes a little longer to start, but I would not say that long. MAF and plugs are a very good place to start, especially if its turning over good. Check your air cleaner as well.

More than likely it is a problem with the fuel pressure regulator. It is not maintaining line pressure when the car is cut off and sitting. Usually caused by debris between the check ball and its seat.
The fuel pump is having to build line pressure before the car will crank.
Key the ignition for a second or two before you turn the key all the way to start.
Oh yeah, an "external" fuel leak will have the same symptom. If you smell gas, get it checked out.

The car has around 118,000 kms on it. It still pulls hard once its running. Just the odd start.
Dealer says he put in new plugs when i Bought the car
