Picked up a Red Hatch a week ago, this morning I washed it, found two rubber grommets in the passenger glove compartment. They are in a small clear bag marked in 4 different languages, the english one reads:
"IMPORTANT
TO PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTOR:
INSERT THESE RUBBER PLUGS INTO THE HOLES OF THE CENTER FLOOR SIDE MEMBER EXTENSIONS."

I am concerned that a pair of small holes are open to the elements because of these plugs not being installed. I intend to talk to the dealer when I get a chance to go in person, but does anybody know where these plugs go? Or does anybody have a Toyota service email address they have had response's too?

The best bet will be to bring it back to the dealer... hmm do you have any pics of the pkg and the plugs?

Yeah, I intend to see the dealer when work permits.
Here is a pic of the plugs, just kinda worried that they go on the outside somewhere to prevent water and debris from entering.

There is nothing to worry about. The plug are for plugging the transit tie-down holes. Most of toyota cars and Sienna van from the SET distributor may not have the plugs installed because we live a warm climate. I was able to find this following thread on a Sienna forum. It has pics to better illustrate the installation of the cross member plugs.

Thanks, that thread did the trick, I found the two open holes under the car, and installed the plugs. Thanks again!
