How to remove side view mirror caps?

Does anyone know how to sucessfully remove the side view mirror covers (the painted part)? Im afraid to start prying them apart since I dont want to break anything... thanks in advance!

You have to take the interior door panel off, remove three nuts holding the mirror on, slide the mirror piece out and unhook the clips from inside the housing. It's all covered in the factory repair manual available for free download in the DIY section.
