I just bought an '08 3 door Yaris and would like to put an sub in, but dont want to take up room in the small trunk area. Has anyone found an small powered sub that fits under the passenger seat, the ones I found seem like theyre too big.

i had the same issue and put mine where the spare tire was. right now its my v.3, first one had a plexie glass above the sub but still made the trunk fairly useless, my set up now has it completly sunk under the trunk floor. its a 12" shallow sub

If you really want to put a sub under your seat, you'll need to get a compact sub. This one has good reviews, but don't expect crazy bass out of any compact sub.

In addition to that, you can get some dedicated midrange speakers and separate tweeters to fill in the bass and high notes.
If you're willing to sacrifice a little space in the trunk, this one got good reviews too: http://www.crutchfield.com/s_108BASSLIN/Infinity-Basslink.html?tp=114
Get what ever you end up getting from sonicelectronix.com. They tend to have cheaper prices.

I just built a box under the cargo cover, NEXT to the spare tire on the passenger side. I modified the cargo cover to allow sub venting. It's an eD 8" sub which adds some nice low-end. It's nothing compared to a 12", but it's enough for everyday music, and the occasional hip-hop. I put my 4-channel amp under the passenger seat.
