The tails lights, fogs and center console showed up from Micro Image. I could not resists and had to install the tails even though the sun was starting to go down.
Of course I also taped and zip tied the tape to keep it all sealed up and protected. I also put shrink tubing on all the pins that I removed from the Thailand connector and used Micro Imaged wiring guide on the sales page for these tails and it all worked perfectly!
Over all I am very pleased with these lights. The fitment was like 98 percent perfect and that will do just fine. Thanks MI!
More pics in the next post.

Man, if I didn't have an 09 I would so have these.
They look really awesome! Good job!
I've been wanting to convert my tail lights to LED since those don't fit the 09+ models properly.

Thanks so much! The install was a lot easier than I thought it would be once I got the pins out of the Thailand connectors. I don't understand why the 09 aftermarket parts are so non-existant.

Nice.....question though.....is the connector differant on the Thai lights that you couldnt just rearrainge the pins and plug it in?I understand the moving the pins part.
Does the new light take the stock bulbs at all or not?
I plan on buying a set pretty soon once I save a bit more cash....lol....as fast as I make it this summer I have been giving it to Garm.....well worth it though.

^ The lights do come with bulbs. They are not interchangeable with your stock ones.

The harnesses are not compatible. His method of pulling the pins is clean and doesn't harm the stock wiring -- excellent idea!

Thanks guys. Yeah my original plan was to cut the plug off the stock tails and solder the connector to the replicas, but the stock tails use a sort of board that the connector is built into, so there where no wires to cut. I looked closely at the connectors and figured I may be able to pull them apart. I am super paranoid about them coming apart, so I have a bunch of electrical tape over the whole assembly and zipties to hold help secure the electrical tape.
Yeah and as he said, it comes with all the bulbs and LED's.

aha.....now I understand.....thanks....I like how you did the install change with the wires because you can plug the stockies back in if needed.
You could also take a larger piece of shrink wrap and put it around the whole plug instead of electrical tape and it can be cut off easy enough.
Nice install....thanks for the pictures was nice to see the back of them up close.

Thanks man. Glad the pics were helpful. I could not recall anyone posting any install progress pics of this mod.
I thought about using a big piece of shrink wrap(tube) but didn't want to put any lateral pressure on the bare connectors. I used the very good and expensive commercial grade electrical tape. I know it will still eventually come apart. In the short term I have been checking my reverse, blinkers and brake lights daily to make sure they all work and so far they are working just fine. I might even say they are a little brighter than OEM's, even the LED brake lights.

They don't fit PERFECT like OEM, but they are very close. Don;t crank down the lower screws fully as the lights are not perfectly flush with the bumper. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a PM and I will give you my e-mail address.

Hey guys, I'm giving my wife's yaris a make over, it's currently at the panel shop and need to have the depo(Thailand) led tails fitted.
How would it differ if I'm having the rs (ts) rear bumper fitted with x2 bumper fogs?
Her car currently has x1 reverse lamp in the left tail
And one fog in the right tail.
Can someone please give me a walk through as the car will now have x2 reverse and x2 bumper fogs.
Thanks guys

While they can be installed on the refreshed 2nd, the taillight will not be flush with the bumper.

I have 5 more sets of the all-red "JDM" style taillights coming in. Very likely will be our last order of these parts.
