Gear shift grinding

When I down shift into 2nd gear it sometimes grinds. I think theres something wrong with my yaris. What should I do??? :iono:

try switching gear oil... synthetic preferably...

It happens to me up shifting when I catch myself being lazy and not pushing clutch in all the way. I miss the way my Dodge Ram shifted. Didn't have to push completly to the floor like the yaris
