Short ram intake, Tanabe Medallion Touring exhaust.

Anyone foresee any issues with the above mods?

I've never had a vehicle fail emissions testing, but all prior vehicles have gone in 100% stock. I don't particularily want to revert to stock for the sole purpose of the test.

You should be fine, as long as the cat is there and not plugged up. Here in Connecticut, vehicles 5 years old or more have to be tested. If they are OBD II compliant (i.e. ~1986+). then they just plug into the OBD port and don't sniff the exhaust.

yeah you should be fine.. although i failed with cone filter on my celica so what i did was cover half of the filter with plastic and did it again and passed....too much air coming in..good thing about failing is that the record shows what caused it just need to know what to adjust..

5 years + here as well, then every other year after that. We do get our exhaust sniffed.

I can't see you having an issue with your e-test. Tested mine last year and it was basically all zeros. Far from stock :)

Shame!
I just read in todays Toronto Star wheels section that effective in Sept. 2011 new vehicles will wait 7 years for their first test. That's up from today's current 5 year grace period. Test requirements for ownership changes are also being relaxed for certain situations.

I'm glad we don't have to do Drive Clean up here... although I'm sure I would pass it anyways. :P

^ How do you get exempt? It's an Ontario wide program is it not?

Yeah the North is exempt... we don't need e-testing or anything. Kinda stupid if you ask me, it should be province wide to prevent all these redneck beaters up here.

So if I need to do anything costly to pass the drive clean, I might as well borrow a friend's address from the North and register the car there. Then re-new the sticker in the north.

Stickers cost less there too! No GTA road building surcharge.

w00t! :drinking:

$39 wasted, especially since I was born 1 week too early with the criteria being relaxed in September.
