i bought a couple of accu gauge tire gauges online... theyseemed to be the best overall for 20 bucks...each...do you trust these for tire accuracy..??

A $5 gauge works just fine. Save your money for gas/food/sex tourism.

best thing is to compare a few gauges. I have seen $100+ digital gauges be calibrated wrong, and $2 dime store cheapies be right. I mainly use a Continental Tire stick gauge (free) that is on the money accurate. The conti tire rep guy hooks us up with cool stuff.

I think it was Grassroots Motorsports that did a tire gauge comparison a few months ago. They found that the most accurate and consistent was the electronic digital (even the cheapie models) followed by the mechanical dial. The little pencil gauge with the plunger did not do well.

I probably have 1/2 dozen gauges of all types. They vary by up to 2 pounds at 50 psi.

now that you mention it, I think it you are right about it being GRM. I seem to recall reading that article
