I am trying to stick a cheap temperature gauge on the dash, but double sided tape wont stick on the material. how can i stick it on dont want to use drill and stuffs just for a temperature gauge

You need to clean the mounting surface with isopropyl alcohol first then the double sided tape will work. Also, apply the tape at room temperature and let it sit for a couple of hours. Don't apply it when its cold because it will weaken the bond.

Simple advice = Don't go cheap.
Purchase a quality gauge, install it one time.
Then your efforts will = RESULTS :thumbup:

I mounted my UltraGauge on the drivers side glove box using strong magnets. Crazy glued one magnet to the gauge bracket and stacked two magnets inside the cover of the dash box. Of course the UltraGauage is probably a lot lighter than your temperature gauge but it might be worth a shot if you intend to mount it in a similar spot.
Also, I've used the 3M mounting tape and like another poster said - clean the area - lay down the tape - press real hard for a few seconds then leave it alone undisturbed for a while to let the bond set. It should hold after that.
