I don't have that one but mine looks very similar. I like mine and many other people on the site swear by theirs. A strut brace is s nice addition to a Yaris but I'm wary of that price. Most good strut tower bars are 100-150 dollars. So I don't know how good this one will be.
I'm looking at the pic to see if I can see any weak parts. The only questionable part I see is the set of brackets connecting the flat part to the bar. They seem a bit thin.

front upper strut bars are not very functional on a FWD car like our yaris. You already have enough understeer from the factory as it is and FWD cars are already tight enough. I say this is more of a cosmetic bolt-on then a performance one. I would suggest if your looking for performance, go rear swaybars to stiffin the rear a bit.

yea, more understeer
j/k, to each thier own. Try it out, If it suits your driving style, keep it. If you dont like it, sell it.
I used a DC sports on my crx before i started autocross. Someone suggested taking it off to see if it would help my understeer. It did.. Not dramaticlly, but just a couple 1/10th of a second helps in any type of racing.. I see no real use for the front strut bar for performance gain.. just looks IMOP!

will the front upper struct bar make the car feel less of a boat in the corners?

so, what you are saying, in order to reduce chassis flex while cornering, i should install a rear sway bar( under the car) instead of a upper struct bar in the front?
isn't almost all the weight of the car in the front because of the engine?

yes. thats what causes that "turning light a boat" feel. All the weight is up front and your front tires are whats pulling the car. Your back suspension stock is loose that causes your car to shift its weight to the outside front tire when turning. By stiffing your rear sway bar (or lack thier of) you force that outside rear tire to push off the ground, keeping more weight leveled thru the car.. Sway bars are really pushing the strut but I say tire cuz its better to understand that your tires are the thing thats hold you on the road. either way.. Someone can explain it better then me. I've come across many threads on this topic under different topics
In the Track/autocross threads they go in more detail about the geometry of it. Tamago has a good write up on this. I cant find it though. Also talk to Jason@scca, check his thread posts, he has a lot of expericence and knowledge on making your car track worthy.

so..in order to improve cornering, you would advise a rear sway bar ? is tihis under ther or in the boot?

Under the car, connects to the lower strut on each side

I recommend the rear sway bar like everyone else. Then you can add the front strut bar. But the rear sway will give you the BEST bang for your buck. And MicroImage has the best ones!
rear sway bar is great, so is a better suspension.

rear sway,23mm is incredable....car actually feels tight now and it aims better in corners now too.
