Connecting Pipe has to be welded with cat

It's a larger diameter down-pipe? Replacing part of your exhaust will allow for better air flow, but without replacing the other parts (header, catalytic converter, muffler and the rest of the exhaust pipe) will have a limited effect.

If this pipe is just from the header to the resonator I wouldn't expect much hp gain. Replace the whole exhaust and you can expect some small gains.

Plus that price is a little high. You can make a custom exhaust, Bigger down-pipe, bigger end-pipe and high-flow muffler for under $500 usd. Over here at least. I don't know what it would cost to make it in the UK.
