Hello

I have already replaced the blower relay and the 40amp fuse for the blower fan yet it still does not work, previously on occassion, when on the motor way the blower would just start up, but this had not happened now for the last week.

I can not find a service manual for the car, as it is a diesel. 2002 Yaris

Any hints, otherwise, I will have to succumb to taking it to the garage, and pay out a fortune I dont have.

Thanks

Do you have access to a multimeter? It could be the switch, the blower resistor, or the motor itself.

Check for corroded ground connection. Check for voltage drop between wires, if you found more than 0.2v within wires, replace the wire.

Before you do anything else, try this first:

Turn on the blower and if it doesn't turn, you can try hitting the bottom part of the motor with your hand. Should be easy to reach under the dash.

Same thing happen on mine. I got a noisy blower and it just won't turn occasionally. If this solves your issue, you might need your blower cleaned or worst replaced.

oops, I just read that you have 2002 Yaris. I have 2nd generation yaris so blower location might be different.

in any case, you know where the blower is.
