I was browsing Costco's online catalog and came across this roof rack.

http://www.costco.com/Browse/ProductSet.aspx?Prodid=11628786&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&eCat=BC|3960|21248|21350&N=4008215&Mo=5&pos=1&No=2&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=21350&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&ec=BC-EC10615-Cat21248&topnav=

The application guide shows the system available for both 5dr and 4dr Yaris for $150 (shipped to your door)!

Not only that, I think this Sportrack Frontier system might be rebranded Thule rack exclusively for Costco, based on the contact information as shown at the bottom.

So, those that have a 5dr hatchback might want to check this out. The best part is that Costco warranty will take it back if the rack does not fit as advertised. (gotta love Costco!) :)

Just wanted to share this with you all that need a roof rack.

Hmm thanks good information to have.

But I see it doesnt list the Yaris two door. Why would it fit the four and five door and not the two? Could it be made to fit?

^ It would 'fit'.

The issue with this, and most other rack systems is the reliance on the door frames for clamping the towers down. Since you only have two doors, the towers would both be on the same door. This places the bars only about 14 inches apart. Pretty much zero stability when it comes to actually strapping stuff onto them.

For 5dr and sedan owners, at $150, this is an excellent deal.

I get it.

Well used intelligently it would be better than nothing although its pretty limited what you can use it for.

Is there anything for a two door that works as well?

I think my Thule rack towers are like 12" apart. No stability problems; I carry a 50lbs kayak and a 35lbs bicycle on top of the roof rack at the same time, drive at highway speeds - haven't re-tightened anything down for 1+ month of having the kayak permanently stored on top of Yaris. MPG down to 34-36 (42 when I took it off).

Once clamped down I can grab the Thule roof rack and yank it as hard as I can back and forth and sideways - it is glued to the Yaris.

^ However, you have the special short rack extension, or stabilizer bars (whatever they call them) required for 2dr setups. The COSTCO rack is not so equipped.
