Just found this over at Club XB.

This is a real 1nz-fe Head build. amazing looking head work. For sure makes Gude look like an amature.

I know this one is super expensive because of whats in it but my god, look at that thing.

JUN Cams
Ferrera valve train
Port Flow craftmanship

I think we a winner!

Proper head work is not cheap, and is worth it.
Can't wait to see the flowbench numbers!!!

5K is so over the top it's almost laughable. Unless it takes over 50 hours to complete...

I had my 351 Cleveland 4V Heads worked out for half that, and it's double the work.

Here's the break - down

Cause the work is not 5,200 it's the whole head.

800.00 for head new from TRD
1,600.00 JUN cams
1,300.00 titanium Ferrera valve train gas filled valves
1,500.00 for Tom Fujita to do the head work and lash.

You get what you pay for. And were not talking common V8 stuff.

And way to go, moc the most renouned head builder in the industry. What are we 5 years old?

But instead you still drive a yaris.

It's all relative , it's all on how you look at it.

This head is so over the top that all the nay-Sayers should be coming out of the wood work soon.

With:

"I could do this instead of that"
" I could buy a car that's already built for that"

Don't hate, appreciate it. Someone else doing it right and not starting at the junk yard.

I think it's commendable.

That's a reasonable breakdown, and $1,500 is about right IMO. I miss-interpreted the OP to mean the head work alone was $5,200. You can understand why I was skeptical... :respekt:

A side note, the Cleveland is not "common V8" but I wouldn't expect a lot of the people here to know that...not really their cup of tea.

Just like you did with your xB. Anything new with that project?

TBR is growing leaps and bounds. As far as the XB goes, all the parts in the you tube video are going in it. The new turbo is a GTX 3071 with the 11 blade billet wheel. Also the head you seen is going in it. The XB is then going to Ptuning to be wired and tuned. Haltech P1000 and ignition going in. The guys at Ptuning seem very excited to catch this project as well as I feel confident in their abilities. They've been awesome to deal with.

Target goal 500hp. Or die trying!

Lots of new parts underway too. GE is doing the new intake manifolds and our oil pans will be out soon.

I'd love love to keep you guys updated here on new stuff but that will depend on the mods here. I think were past the b.s. From time past.

If you guys like what your seeing let us know. Will keep you up to date with new stuff.

For $5200 you could probably get a LQ4, 4L60E, a megagizz to run it all and probably a Ford 9" too... but it wouldn't be the same :)

500 hp out of a 1nzfe would be impressive no matter how you got there.

I would actually be willing to fly down and check out the results. If the results were as good as possibly thought then why not give it a consideration? There are not alot of choices here in the state for quality built motors as a 1nz...right now I only know of 2 and I would want to see both before I would make a purchase choice. There are too many people here that just don't have what it takes to put their money where their mouth is. Really there are a few that have done so and they have the evidence to back it up. Props to those that have done so and those that are trying to do more with our powerplant. Everyone else will do what they do...talk smack without any way to back it up. For those that are making it happen you know who you are and have my respect at least....whether or not that means anything, well that is up to you.

I respect the parts and the builds. I don't respect people who treat our community like crap and only come on here to build themselves up.

meth injection band aids...

LOL on that. I guess we should only truly be impressed with N/A builds then?
