Small side windows as a vent

Aloha. I am looking to mount the side mirrors inside on the pillar between the large rollup and small window . I also would like to remove the small window and make it into a vent. Anyone done this or know where any aftermarket parts may be available? Purpose: The Yaris 2007 3dr HB is Electric and I am trying to streamline to get more miles per charge and also not use the A/C and keep the windows up. I get 100 miles per charge when driving at 65mph, but I Like to tinker and get MORE.

I have researched this and found no one as far as the vented side windows. I've been wanting to do mine much like the old VW bugs.

Similar question has been raised on the Miata.net forums and the closest you can get to a vent window in the little triangle is to replace the glass with plexiglas or lexan and then install one of these:

One of the advertising vendors on Miata.net actually makes (made?) a kit for the Miata but you'd be on your own for the Yaris...

Use F1 style mirrors like I did. Then convert to a Wink mirror inside. You won't even need side mirrors with the Wink. Easy. :thumbsup:
