I'm not the only one who thinks this community could greatly benefit from having Adminstrators ((YarisBueller and Vitzboy)) around here interacting with the members. The Mod's rarely interact with them as well from what I've been told by them ( not all )
SO, as a friend of mine said, "It's a ship with no captain", what say you?

I wouldn't mind seeing them around, but have no problem. Things seem to run pretty well without them (sorry, Bueller) and if they've taken a loooong vacation, that's fine.
But guys, do stop in now and again for a chat, OK?

I dunno. The last time Bueller surfaced, some key members defected.

Some yes, some no. I personally miss that Etimago isn't still a mod, but I respect his decision and that he still is here.
As a mod it can be frustrating at times not having them here. We don't have the power to fix user profiles that are registered but can't post for example, or approve vendors (which I kinda understand that one). Perhaps they're pretty busy guys. I myself am not here as much as I used to due to the fact I'm running my own business and working another part time job. Hard to find time, and the internet on my blackberry just isn't the same for YW.

I've been trying for years. The first year we went down to Import Alliance I requested a backing from them to get members involved. Didn't get a response. After 6 months of trying I gave up. Luckily, some of the Mod's who are no longer here, helped out as much as they could.

If they didn't care that means they do when they vote  Seems from the limited that actually voted, it's a draw. Very interesting as this site use to be bussling with chatter before we lost a few good men and women.

from my perspective they are not actually Admins. They are people that own the site and that is about the jist of it. As for people that have been lost, etc. Well I can honestly say that as the years have gone on the site has lost a lot. There is the Mod issues and even the hack that killed things ENORMOUSLY. Shrugs....what can you do? I personally think that the biggest problem from my perspective is that if you email or PM the admins and it is like the act of God to get an answer or engagement then really why even have the site? Sure it is slick when a site can run itself, but at the same time just because something CAN get along should it have to? Shrugs...it is what it is apparently.

Whoever said "I personally miss that etimago ous not a mod". A big fat +1 to that one!!!
Still, the forum is still up whether the admins actively participate or not so why don't you use it as is, to find information, interact with peeps, etc., and just forget about it ?
Just a thought :)

Would this information not be helpful to the admins regardless of one says yes or no or does not care???

I think that those of us that are active and care about this forum should pool together and purchase it from the current owner(s).

That's a shame. I can't imagine that it makes enough money to justify keeping it, but doing nothing with it.

I would remove all advertising and remove myself as a vendor. Make it like it used to be.
I have my own forums for customer service and sales, YW should be kept a pure enthusiast site.

I was almost gonna say "don't care" until I remembered I had to personally PM Bueller just to get my user name changed. So yeah, full power should be given to the mods that are still here. Couldn't hurt.
(But realistically we know it's just not gonna happen, so "don't care" would be the norm right about now)

Agree with you wholeheartedly (on all points, including that Etimago was great Mod, and I'm not just saying that because I want his "old" white wheels :laugh:).
And yes, I agree with you, it gets frustrating to be in the middle when members have questions or issues with their accounts and basically our hands are tied... what can you do. It is what it is :iono:
I do most of my net surfing on my trusty little Android phone these days, and the forum isn't optimized for that kind of devices. It's hard to read the threads and even harder to comment.
Thanks for the sweet comment, Garm. You should come to a North Cal. meet one of these days, and I should try to make it and finally meet you!
But enough out of me
