If you have new information such as paint codes, links to YouTube commercials or can scan and send new brochures to be added to the archives, then please post a reply in here and I will add the new information to the charts.

These charts are for US-spec vehicles only at this time, I have requests to add other countries and I will hope to do that in the future.

Hey guys, I used to maintain a topic on echodrivers.com but their site seems to have evaporated, so I will maintain it here instead. I hope that you find the information useful and informative. Let me know if you seen any mistakes and I will correct them immediately.

Apparently the "old" Yaris Sedan will still be sold in the states as a 2012 model, but available through fleet sales only.

(yawn) 2013 colors remain unchanged from 2012.

FYI, I believe this is only applies to 2011, but some hatchbacks with the color code 1F8 were painted Medium Silver Metallic instead of Meteorite Metallic. It was a Corolla paint color that also, confusingly, has the color code 1F8. My car is Medium Silver Metallic, and I found this out when I went to buy touch up paint for it.

That is interesting as automotivetouchup.com (where I always buy my factory matched paint from) shows the 1F8 corolla and Yaris colors as having different names, but being the same color. I have never seen a Toyota color code reused as a different shade.

My car's color code is 1F8 and it is definitely not the medium gray Meteorite Metallic is, it's a darker silver than your average silver car, more like a pewter. I purchased Medium Metallic Silver, for a Corolla, touch up paint for my car from The Bumper Store and it matches the factory paint perfectly. The Bumper Store is, IIRC, who told me some Yarii were painted the Corolla color, because I contacted them about my car not being the medium gray Meteorite metallic, despite having the code 1F8. Maybe Toyota changed the paint blend for Meteorite? But my car is no where near the color of the older Meteorite Metallic Yarii I've seen. Plus I've seen at least two other Yarii the same color as mine on the road, all 3dr hatches. I would have preferred Meteorite Metallic, too, but there wasn't too many choices in the used market.

Yaris 1F8http://www.amazon.com/2006-2011-Toyota-Yaris-Meteorite-Metallic/dp/B00AVNHGCQ/ref=sr_1_17?m=AE1MIB730ZZK0&s=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1381112742&sr=1-17&keywords=1f8
Edit: And it's definitely not the 2012+ color 1F7 Classic Silver Metallic. I thought maybe they switched out paint at the factory to prepare for the new model and painted some older models while finishing production, but that doesn't match. Maybe they ran out of Meteorite and didn't want to order more and just used what they had on hand?
Edit: It may have been a color sold in Asia, and some US cars painted Medium Silver Metallic were made. I looked on Google Image Search and Asian Yarii as old as 2007 came up as being painted that color.

Did you purchase your car new or used?

Used.

Okay, I just looked on google and all the pictures of Meteorite match my car. But when I was shopping for my car, every example, including pictures on google, of Meteorite was a medium gray, not a pewter. WTF is going on? Am I taking crazy pills?

There's a sedan silver that is lighter than the liftback one. Also, the liftback silver can look totally different depending on the light.

I feel stupid, but I swear every example I could find of Meteorite before looked like this: http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheelrack/car_images//Toyota/Yaris_Liftback_07/Yaris.15.Meteorite.gif. And several Meteorite Metallic touch up paints I've found have color swatches that medium gray. Yet now I can't even find one example on google of a real Yaris that color. I guess this means both Meteorite Metallic and Medium Silver Metallic are the same color, despite having different names, because they have the same code.

So a few days ago I saw this orange Yaris on my way home. Took me a few seconds to realized that I've never seen one this color and snap a pic to confirm it was really a orange Yaris.

It's not red, nor gold, nor brown, nor yellow. There's a red Echo HB right behind it. Was it a standard color or some sort of special edition ??

I've seen that colour a few times.

BTW, no snow left in Montreal?!

But this color isn't on the charts ?

We suddenly got it with a thin white layer on friday night (pic was taken on the previous sunday). This weekend it's -15°, while earlier this week I was outside in short sleeves and 3 weeks ago I was eating lunch outside, baking in the sun. Crazy man, don't come near us, you'll get weather doomed too !

The orange Yaris is really just the factory Absolute Red (3P0) colour which appears darker in the brochures and colour samples than in real life. I'm willing to bet the Carmine Red Metallic (3Q8) which appears as a dark burgundy almost brown colour is more of a true red in the classic Ferrari sense when seen in daylight.

So the Echo in the picture would be the Carmine red and the orange Yaris be the Absolute red ? That Yaris really was orange in color, like some Chevy.

The orange Yaris is Copper Orange Mica (4S9).
