Rust-Oleum Hammered

Tried the Rust-Oleum Hammered paint this past weekend. Cool stuff. It can be sprayed, brushed or rolled on. When dry it has a texture similar to what is on the interior walls of your house - works great for hiding little imperfections. :thumbsup:

It worked great on the rollcage, and being able to roll it on made the job much cleaner and easier than spraying.

Yes, it is. Rolling it meant we only had to mask the areas where we might touch the body, if we had sprayed we would have needed to mask the entire car. Big time savings. :thumbup:

Been using that stuff for years, I did the trunk and engine bay of my 70 Cougar about 4 years ago with the spray on and it's holding up perfectly. After it cures you'll just file your fingernail down trying to scratch it off. I just used a half quart on some wood paneling for my haul trailer last night...now the wood matches the frame. It paints over dirt/rust/etc with no problem...I didn't even wipe my trunk down! I figured it would just get re-painted in the near future but that paint has held perfectly, it's allowed me to move on to other details first.

The finish is smooth-textured and has a dark swirl mixed in, having the textured look must have given them leeway when enhancing the durability...it's not like any other paint I've come across(in my limited experience).
