Those do look pretty nice!
I've been wondering about a winter tire for my Yaris too, since the new wheels i'm going to get i'm going to put summer tires on so i'll need some winter tires.

I really liked the ones I had. They are on the wheels that I sold to CTScott...can't recall the type, but they are Vikings. The ones you are picturing seem to be fairly aggressive. I would think they do well however mileage and noise would suffer?

These are a low rolling resistant tire . They remind me of the COOPER Weathermaster ST-2s . Did get over 40 m.p.g. a few times with those , studded too . The I.G.s look to cost well over $100 each . :frown:

^ doesn't surprise me on the price if they really deliver superior performance and mileage.

Exactly! Personally, since I drive so many miles, I'm known for swapping back to my all-seasons during the winter if there is no snow in the forecast for just a few days. Granted, my car lift makes that easy, too. But with snows, the more you drive them on dry, warmer roads (above 50??), the shorter the life...

I've gotten around great on IG20's, and only run them on the street if the forecast calls for ice or snow. My main complaint is sidewall/tread squirm on dry pavement, but that's typical for a snow tire.

Around here we're on wet roads most of winter due to the salting/sanding after storms. I'm liking my Michelin X-Ice for the most part.
