Citroen DS3 inspired paint job

So after watching Top Gear zoom around the Monaco Grand Prix the other day, I wondered what my little bean would look like with a similar paint scheme...

Rims and tires are throwin' it off. Tires needs to be lower profile and OZ type rally rims plus lowered.... Then it might all click.

I like it...wrap an LED strip for driving lights around the side of the fog bezels and that would finish it off which can be technically done

I think the orange on top should be only within the rain tracks and the wheels aren't my cup of tea, but I like the color scheme...

Disagree - the bottom version is better mainly cos of the black rims and understated body.

Try adding a small racing stripe to the bottom version, just to see what happens?

I kind of like it, myself. But I wouldn't paint the side. I like the black accent. Try a black spoiler on the bottom version, and a couple of very narrow racing stripes on the side?

Try blacking out your front bumper as well. Unlike the Citroen, the Yaris has a sizable gap between the top and bottom grill. That grey hood space between needs to disappear. A blacked out front might help.

Less is more, and what you have done with the roof works much better IMO. Plus, the side stripes are awesome :drool:

LOVE the dark grey above the base of the window line and the dark gray around the fogs in the first picture.

DS3 and C4 are both sexy cars, but especially the DS3!

well, in the middle of doing the reverse angle, the wife put in her vote: lime green. It looked absolutely terrible while there was still orange on it, but now that it's all swapped over, it's not nearly as terrible. I also decided that the spoiler should match the base color, but have the stripe go over it. The lettering on the side could be either black/dark grey or transparent. I'm still toying with the dark grey/black a/c pillars and roof.

This one's got my vote. I love the black accents. It makes the car look AMAZING, IMO.

Lime green, I'm not sure. It might be OK. It's just that you have a real good thing going there with silver / orange.

I don't know what a paint job like this is going to cost you but man, oh, man, this would sooooo totally rule. :bow:

BTW, my Yaris is red. I wonder what it would look like with black or white or black and white stripes?! :drool::drool: If I close my eyes, I can just imagine :wink: but if you have the time and wanna photoshop those colors, just to see what it would look like, that'd be great ! :smile: :smile:

You could try using vinly before going with paint. I definitely love the top half dark.

Vinyl is actually a great idea. You could try different things, that way, at much lesser cost.

I would be happy just rocking the Yaris stripe on the side, and the modification on the roof, and a carbon fiber hood. The rest of the front of the car can stay red. Man, on man, that's some paint job and I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE THE WHEELS :drool:

I tried to save the image to my hard drive to see if I could mess around a little but MS Paint didn't recognize the format for some reason. I'm not completely sure about the hood area but this is getting pretty damn close. :wub:

I agree about it looking like a knockoff, but it was just a flight of fancy. It's "free" to photoshop. =)

Well, the wife's bargain was that after the mods are done, she gets to choose the paint. So far she's not really impressed with it, and is favoring something like electric green (mazda/ford) or purple with lightning bolts. =/

Awwwww... I don't know about those colors either.. Oh well, that gives you time to refine the project. Maybe do the "yaris" a little more like the font on this forum ;)

At least get the side stripes ! :)
