Laquer Peeling off

Hi Everyone, I need to ask this question, I have a 5 year old Vitz, and Laquer is peeling off my roof around the Rubber Strips. Has anyone had this issue?

I bought the car in 2010 second hand import from Japan.

it's in Blazing Blue Metallic, Or Blue Mica Metallic for Japan.

Will have tomorrow. - In addition to that, Lines are appearing on the Roof, and looks like the laquer is separating from the base coat.

Probably the clear cloat

Sounds to me like your car has had the roof resprayed with clear. Makes since as it is a used vehicle. New coat of clear is not adhearing to original clear coat and starting to flake off.

I've had this issue. The front bumper clear coat started peeling around 50,000km took it to the dealer they fixed it (took them 2 tries to get the clear coat looking proper) the car was brand new and no it wasn't rock chips in the paint, only the clear coat.

about 2 months ago while washing the car I noticed the clear coat peeling on the passenger door in 2 separate spots went back to toyota, told them about the original issue, and the guy told me i'm out of luck because i've got so many km on the car now and it's not the same spot as before (it's only 3 years old). color is flint mica
