even @ 2" drop, the yaris is still pretty "high". Are there any springs that go lower, or potential problems with lower than the 1.8" tanabe's?

With the DF's the stock shock is way too long. The only way to properly go lower is with shortened shaft shocks which come with coilovers like the Cusco's and SK's

Yes you deffinitly need new shocks for that.

Drop your Yaris 2" and then tell me it's still "high." Hardly.

It might still *feel* high while sitting in it, because of the Minivan front seats, but I can't say that they *look* high to me...

i was only gonna use the 2 inch drop cause i thought it would be too low with my wheel/tire consideration. hook me up with some pictures of your drop so i can see......

dont know what others think but going more than 2" and even at 2" youll be killing the rest of your stock suspension. tie rod ends, shocks, bushings etc etc. thats why older cars/trucks use lowered spindles.

spindles only got you so far on trucks (2-3 inches) most of my older trucks were dropped anywhere from 6 to 12 inches and that has to be done with springs and spindles together, sometime frame modification was needed as well, bu there is no extra strain on tierod ends, or bushings, but shocks on the other hand... I have blown out many of shocks in my day, as well as ball joints.

I also think 2 inches is not low enough... I am used to having some tire tucking action. But on the Yaris I want the rear tire to sit just inside the wheel well and the front tire to just enough room to turn away from the fender... that's how I roll :burnrubber:

my 70 chev pickup also runs 2" springs and 3" spindles, I killed 3 sets of cheap lower ball joints before I finally bought the spindles. The rear runs 4" drop (ive never done a 'c' notch) and has also blown out shocks, actually thats how it sits, havent driven it since last winter...looks more like a rat rod these days than a street rod.
I cant go 2" lower unless I buy a different set of wheels but those of you running even 1.5 drops looks sweet.

The DIY Manual has a guide to put some Sparco seats in.

That's exactly what this car needs, lower, more comfortable seats. Problem is, no one makes a good quality seat bracket, and I'm not reusing the stock one like the DIY posted on this site says to do. That's pointless because you don't sit any lower and you aren't dropping weight that much.

So can we find a Vendor that will make us a Lower Seat Bracket?

If i buy one im considering running a 15lb kirkey. They will make me custom brackets and design the seat around my big ass.

cant you buy an aftermarket generic slider and cut it down to match the mount points or find one which measures correct? shit, in the world of parts these days theres got to be something similar at the least.

I'd need some "Ass room" too, damn leg presses and squats aren't too kind to it.

The custom route is surprisingly easy. All you need to do is buy the stock Recaro, Sparco, Corbeau, sliders and the base is what would need to be custom made. Said base would have 4 holes to mount the sliders to, and 4 holes on the bottom to bolt to the floors. All a matter of getting a machine shop to make one for you, but I'll wait for the aftermarket. Shoot, Sparco made tons of bases for BMW's, I'm sure the lowly Yarrari should get some love.
