Hi guys
I have been reading a few of the threads on this forum in preparation for when I get my Yaris next month (2008 Yaris T3+). I have decided to keep the engine stock until warranty expires but the stock sound has got to go.
In my current car I have the following:
HU: JVC KD-BT11
AMP: Targa TG-485 2000w 4channel Amp
Front splits: Boschmann RV-5200XT
Rear co-axials: Boschmann (can't remember the model number)
Sub: Vibe Black Air II 12"
So far I have learnt how to change the stock head unit to my JVC and I have found a supplier in South Africa who will brings in the dashboard pieces that I need so if Toyota wants to charge too much then i can go third-party. I still need to source the harness and the mounting brackets but those are now the least of my concerns. (Toyota wants to charge R1,300 which is nearly $200).
Where is the best path to route the power (passenger side) and RCA (driver side) cables? What trouble can I expect and how can I avoid it? I want to make this a very neat build with the focus on SQ and neatness keeping it looking as stock as possible. Car theft is big here so I don't want my car to be a target because of its sound.
I have come up with the idea of buying the 2010 A-pillar panels and use the stock tweeter ports for the splits. This will keep it looking stock and still provide me with the place for the tweeters.
In the rear doors I will put my co-axials which will be for the rear passengers, not that I have too many.
Thank you in advance.
Regards
