im trying to get the Contis DWS high perf all season to replace my pirellis pzero neros ..since they're pretty sucks in winter ..lol, the 215/35/18 size is back ordered, and the disc tire reps couldn't get the ETA on when the tires would be available .... but the 215/40/18 is in stock ... im affraid it'll rub ...

should I pulled the trigger ??

I know I should go with a smaller diameter for winter , but I need to replace my front brake kits, buy the kido BBK, another set of wheels n tires ...$2K or I just change the tires and spend $6-700 ...man ... decision decision

My 215/35/18's rub. Can't even imagine 40's working.

Get some steelies and winter tires. All-Season is a misnomer unless you in Mexico.
There are some new 4 season tires though. Likely not of the dry/summer performance you might wish for.

Yup I would go with the smaller wheel but I already have the 320mm disc upgrade and also the rear disc conversion ... The smallest wheel I can go is 17" I believe ... But if I go with the conti 215/35/18 i guess I can save a little bit ..

I bought Jumpman's 18s with 40/225s. I have AMR lowering springs that are 1.75". I HAD to put spacers in so that I didn't rub right out the gate. I am going to have my stock springs installed next week so I will know better, but to be completely honest if you are going to pick up your tires then I would only pick up those for the 3 seasons and use smaller tire/wheel combo for the winter....IMHO.

As a heads up the Falken 912s are awesome as hell for a high performance all season if you aren't concerned with changing tires in 15k miles....that is if you drive aggressively.

dws aren't too bad in the snow. I have them on my wrx (215/45r17) and they are pretty good until you get into really deep stuff. they aren't as good as the previous generation extremecontact though.

Yup the dws is the #1 for the high performance all season tires according the tirerack customer review. I may try the 225/35/18 since it'll be a slighty taller than the 215/35/18...

Never been much a fan of Continentals, but I have a set waiting for me at Discount Tire to put on my iQ when it gets here. Let us know how you like these tires when you get them.
