Here is how it looked when I picked it up from echo_hrs:

First time I've seen close ups of that part. It is more a wing than a spoiler; does it direct wind/air down the rear window and keep it clean(er)? If so, I may have to get one...

if anything it would deflect air up and away from the back window and provide some sort of awning to keep leaves and twigs from falling on the window

I am not sure how the air flow at the back has changed but I thought the hatch window seemed a little easier to see out of during the last heavy rain.
I found myself needing to use the rear wiper a little less than normal.
I guess I will have a better idea in then next few more months after I have gone through some rain and some snow.

Agreed, however, it looks like the leading edge of the wing is higher than the top of the rear door and the bottom surface is shaped to direct wind/air downward. In the only other pictures I've seen, the wing looked like it was flush with the door top and mounted right against it more like a spoiler. I realize this would cause drag/lift but since these kinds of wings are mostly for looks, I thought/hoped it might be designed to at least clean the rear window...

If I recall the leading edge is actually flush with the body..

Not sure where you're getting that price, but this place has them colormatched for $336 CAD: James toyota (http://jamestoyota.net/toyotaaccessories/itemspage/Rear_Rally_Spoiler_Yaris_45). And to boot, the USD is on par with the CAD, so it comes out to about the same price.

However, the part # PZ321-52065 is not a valad part #.
I've tried 3 Toyota parts websites with no success.
One Toyota link showed part # PZ321-52065-B2.
Same results, no workie :frown:
Has anyone actually purchased the Rear Rally Spoiler?? :iono:
If so, would you happen to have the part #????

Substantially different spoiler than the 2010 featured in this thread. TRDsparks has the pre-'09 rally style spoiler.

the 06-08 rs spoilers sat flush (usdm+jdm) like most of the replica rs spoilers people have. 2009-2011 has that gap and tilt.
Looks good finish on your car OP.

I'm reading here that there are possibly up to 3 different rear spoilers for the Hatchback??
1) The SHORT or stubby one like I have. (2008 HB)
2) The Rally Spoiler (shown in Toyota website pic ABOVE)
3) And the Large Spoiler for PART # 00016-52700 on TRD Sparks website.
Or are #'s 2 & 3 the same??
When converting from a short (stubby one) to a Large spoiler, does ANY of my exsisting
holes get used for the Large Spoiler.
If not, will any of my exsisting holes actually show once the Large spoiler is installed??

I doubt the holes will be usable. my spoiler holes lay out further then the stubby one.
I dont know where your holes are layed out on your spoiler. if there are more then 2 locations across the hatch, probably not then.

As WeeYari mentioned earlier, there appear to be three different types of rear spoilers for the hatchback. 2 & 3 listed above are in fact the same spoiler. The short/stubby one is the first type, the large/rally one is the second type. The third type is like the one I got from echo_hrs from his 2010 RS (Canadian Domestic Market).
I don't recall ever seeing that third type of spoiler on sale as an accessory from Toyota. I have only ever seen similar replicas available for the third type.
With regards to re-using the holes, sorry, I can not help you there as I went from no spoiler and no holes to newly drilled holes for this spoiler.

WOW, I'm still confused on this :iono:
One may be called a Rally Spoiler
One may be called a Large Spoiler
One has no gap, flush to the body
One has a gap to the body
One kicks up from the body
One lies flush to the body
WTF???Lets try this again
In post #22 shows what I'm interested in. Though the angle is from
down looking up. (anyone notice there is NO rear wiper in the pic)
Unfortunately #22 does not actually show its part #
#22's pic appears to lye flush from the body rather than ''kick-up''
What is this rear spoilers name & whats the part#
Any genuwine Toyota parts guys out there that can confirm?????

Hello TRDMarty, I believe the spoiler you like from #22 is the Large Spoiler (aka Rally Spolier), part number 00016-52700
I found an earlier post (http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2730) by Ran Kizama which specified the part numbers specific to the various colours:
Part Numbers:
00016-52700-10 - HB Spoiler 068 Polar White
00016-52700-02 - HB Spoiler 209 Black Sand Pearl
00016-52700-03 - HB Spoiler 3P0 Absolutely Red
00016-52700-08 - HB Spoiler 8T0 Blazing Blue Metallic
00016-52700-18 - HB Spoiler 8T1 Bayou Blue
To better visualize the Large/Rally spoiler from different angles, here are a some pictures ToyToronto, another YW member posted in various threads:
