LED tail lights

I want to change the bulbs on my taillights to LED. I had a few Questions, will LED be significantly brighter then the stock ones? Is it a red bulb or just a white bulb that shows red because the plastic is red ( i am assuming its red lol) I found these ones http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2x-7443-7440-15-LED-RED-BULB-Turn-BRAKE-Tail-stop-Light-/170530880067?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27b46eba43 do you guys think these if i put these in my tallights instead of the stock ones they will eb a nice bright red? it is legal to do this right?

I have LEDs in my 2010 Tacoma (OEM) and they are way brighter then my Yaris incandescent. Not sure if they're legal aftermarket in Canada but I'd be surprised if they're not (long as HC didn't decide they're bad for you). I've been looking at these

Definitely red, usually made of gallium/arsenic. I love them on my truck!

do you figure they will be much brighter red than the current ones stock?

Make sure they will fit in the housing....I bought some gnarly LED's and they were too fat to get inside.

well i checked the bulb replacement guide i belive it said 7443 so thats what i bought i hope it will fit.....
