07 hatch 1.5 manual

I got the bottom seat out and I see the round spot welded port with the 3 wire coming out of it. I assume this is the fuel pump wires/no?????
Do I pop off the rubber grommet to find the fuel filter down in there????
what is the best source for a fuel filter /aftermarket for this and any tricks for getting new one in???? thanks

You may want to look at the Fuel System part.

Toyota only sells the fuel filter attached to the pump. Beck/Arnley makes a replacement for the OEM filter and Rock Auto sells it for $20:

Its part of the pump. Its considered a non serviceable item. There should be no need to change it unless its clogged and causing low fuel pressure.

This post has a pic of it (1st pic). You have to remove the top of the gas tank (2nd picture) to pull the sender unit out. The pump is mounted inside of the sender and the filter is clipped to it.

No, you don't drop the tank, You remove the access panel inside of the car, and then remove the top of the tank and pull the sender unit out the top.

I pulled my tank when I got at mine because I was doing a little welding back there and didn't want to risk lighting the tank on fire.
