Hey all,
I reciently purchased a set (havn't arrived yet) of NF210's and was wondering if this thread:

Was still the end-all be-all installation instructions for them or if there was something better/easier out there?
Can't wait to install them. Only thing left on my short list is a rear sway bar!

Yea those were what I followed along with the service manual stickied on this site and the instructions provided. Don't forget correct tools and stands. Want to see pics when you are done and not ones of you crushed under the car.

One question about the struts. In the instructions theres a hex/allen wrench in the bolt and then a wrench around the nut. Is it necessary to have this hex/allen wrench in there? I ask because I have an pnumatic impact wrench and was wondering if I can just use that on the nut to take it off without the hex/allen wrench in there. Why is that there?

you shouldnt need the hex with an impact wrench...ive never needed it
depending on how many winters your yaris has seen, i would spray all bolts/nuts you intend to loosen with liquid wrench at least 24h before installation of the springs...

The hex works if you are using a 17mm offset wrench with it -- in other words, NOT using power tools, OR if you just don't want to remove and replace all the cowling.

Can the fronts be done without taking off all the windshield wiper stuff and cowling?

IMO - taking off the cowling and going at the nuts with an impact is way easier than leaving the cowling in place and using offset and hex wrenches.
EDIT: when you do get the job done, please don't come back at us with a 'What is this gap?' thread
