Well I got tired of having what equated to a BMX bike horn and with CTScott's assistance picked the Stebel Trombe TM80/2 Magnum. He installed it for me last week while I fixed some of my underpanels and pulled out my Boomslang/FIC equipment. Thanks to Scott I am officially noticed now on the roadways!

^I need to take some new pictures. I've actually re-plumbed the airlines and routed them with less stress on the lines from the seolinoid to the horn themselves.
These horns are MUCH louder than semi truck horns.
I really need to do a video like you did. None of the microphones really stand up to the sound though. We pegged a dB meter at 130 from 30 feet away...so that means it was a bit louder.

Does your hood pop open when you fire those?

@ sqcomp: I am fine with what I have and it won't become an issue for me as I build the car for the LSRs that I will be participating in. What you have installed is fun I am sure, but especially in my neck of the woods that would get me an excessive noise ordinance fine to the tune of 250 bucks just for using it. ;-)

Oh come on, really? Excessive noise? Half these morons on the road ignore you or even laugh when you honk a regular horn...
The only reason you're using it (for the most part) is to get someone's attention.
The definition of excessive is up to the reporting officer, at least out here. I'll fall back to the idea of using it for public safety. If you're being cut off, run off the road, or someone is being reckless...then is it really excessive when you're trying to be safe or bring about a safe situation?
You're not rolling up to the local market and trying to scare the pants off people. At least not regularly.
@ CT - It doesn't actually pop the hood off suprisingly! It is stoopid loud though. I think my aiming of the horns is perfect, shooting the sound wave down to the ground and having it spread out evenly.

yoo my horns stopped working hahah how can you tell if the horn fuse is blown or if its some other problem ? if anyone can help

The horn fuse is in the fuse box under the hood. Pop the fuse box cover and the placement of all of the fuses is on the underside of the cover. You can try to use the plastic "pliers/tweezers" that are mounted in the box, but it can be a pita. Pull the fuse and look at it in the light for burn scoring or the metal loop inside being "blown" apart.

One of the trumpets fell off my Strebel's. Sounds really funky now,lol Wonder how I can get a replacement. I know I can buy the horns seperately, may do that to get the plastic trumpet....

Where's your compressor and air tank?
I have a set of real air horns on my Jeep Wrangler, I tied them into my factory horn and an automatic control switch to keep the pressure at 120psi when I'm driving....that's some loud ass horn. It's great on new years eve.

The tank and compressor are in the trunk. I think the viair is a 150psi piece on a little 1.5 gallon tank.
I wish I had the space to put in the Nathan air chime manifold...still, I can make people drop like they're getting shot.

Hmmm...I don't have video of mine for some reason. I have the compressor and tank out because I'm re-working my trunk layout. That being said, it won't be too difficult to make something happen. I have shot a stock Yaris horn vs. a K3la before...can't seen to find where I put that though...
