Lot of bulb manufactures go by their own codes (sizes) so although the list has been posted before, not everything can be found so easily.

What's the deal on the reverse bulbs? I ordered these bright white 7440 bulbs because that is what is listed as the reverse bulb type on the sylvania site. The reverse bulbs are not this type they look the same as the turn signal bulb, the twist in kind. What the hell?:iono:

I contacted Sylvania and I am waiting to hear back. The list is wrong for my Yaris with stock lights. The reverse lights aren't 7440 they are 7507.

Just installed some Polarg bulbs I had left over from my BMW, in the reverse lights today.

I didn't have the original package they came in, but compared them next to the stock Yaris reverse bulbs, and they were exactly the same... posts were exact.

Just ordered a gang of led's to replace most interior and exterior lights on my sedan. I will post pics as soon as I get 'em in. BUT I messed up and ordered size 7440 for my rear parking light, but the list on this site says its size 7443 ... that will still work though right??

7443 is your brake
7440 won't work, it will fit the brake wedge base size but won't do anything when you mash the pedal, I made the same mistake

reverse light is a 1156 base

Oh, you must have aftermarket tails. Mine are stock. I only know what goes in stock. Don't know anything about the JDM.

well, you can get LED's all over Ebay but they probably won't compare with the brightness of these from HILEDS, I purchased some break lights and reverse bulbs, the reverse bulbs are the 3 led micro chip kind and they look cool, nice white light but I wouldn't call them BRIGHT, nothing like the halogen type chris has but those will get really HOT, if he is in reverse to long he might melt his housing onto the bumper:headbang: The breaklights are red and I think they look great , they glow really nice and they are appear brighter than the stock bulbs were

If you have no patience like myself you can check out autolumination.com or ebay, otherwise wait for HILEDS

Nobody selling HILEDS that I know of except for HILEDS themselves, I know they have the 194 wedge for your headlights which I ordered but the other leds I have are from autoilumination.com and from e-bay, you might e-mail HILEDS and ask what they have available for your car before buying from someone else, check out the HILEDS page anyway because they have some information on leds that you might want to check out, it was insightful for me, apparently they have a superior quality

I'm tryin to get purple. I found some on ebay ,but they look pretty cheap. My headlights are gonna be in purple(PIAA Super plasma) along with the floorboards which I already got the LEDs for. Just need to install. I know it's kinda....uhm...ya:redface: . But I think it's gonna go good with the Black and gun metal accents.

Never saw a question mark, but to answer your question, the dome light is a 31mm festoon, the map lights are 194 wedge, and the truck in a Liftback is a festoon as well... size I cant remember.

If you search "Dome Light", "Map Light", or "Trunk Light" you should see a bunch of posts with the info.

Keep in mind, Sedan and Liftback have some size differences.. take the trunk/hatch for example.

By the way the sylvania guide is a little off. The back up light is a 1156 in the LB and the brake light is a 7443 and there is only one bulb in the dome the 31-32mm festoon. I have replaced every bulb in my LB. I had to buy some bulbs twice bcause I was too lazy to check for myself and I used the sylania guide.

there are two sets of parking lights....one is easy to change, directly beside the headlight itself, there is another one that is behind the yellow attached panel on the side...

If behind the reflector, why would you bother changing it at all? Unless your removing the reflector somehow like the oversea's headlights look, its useless to change that bulb. :confused:

I am sitting here comparing my bulbs that I have compliled in my bulb box


7507 is the one you need for the turn signal, the pins are slightly offset while the 1156 for your reverse has straight pins, both bulbs are single contact

you need 7507 for you turns, if they don't have what you want you can buy the stuff and make your own or contact them they are very helpful

Opening this back up. Popped off my map light covers in my sedan and noticed they are not DE3175's. I couldnt get them out but I am sure they are not the same as the dome light. Just noticed that the Hatchback doesnt even have a number for map lights although dont some hatchbacks have the reading lights????

The Climate Control knobs take a Neo Wedge Type B bulb.

I discovered that the amber led's from autolumination.com are lighter than the Scion/Toyota amber, but the incandescent amber bulbs they sell are a perfect match. I have an amber scion radio, so this was important to me, as the 08 green bulbs were horrific with the amber radio.

i have the same problem. I bought a set of 7443 LEDs. When brakes are on, they work, but when they are suppose to be on during regular night driving, they don't work.

Yes, you must get the duel...what they end up doing is linking some of the LEDs that will run off the brake circuit and they some of them will be the parking light circuit.

Can anyone tell me WTF! kind of bulb goes into the headlight housing - and not the H4 main bulb nor the turn signal.

There is a smaller one with a special connector on the end plugs into the grey car-side connector.

I know the other one is the 194 wedge for the amber side marker.

Glad to help where I can. You have lots of options when choosing bulbs, such as whether they put out light 360 degrees or 90 or 120. Up to you.

BTW, the 194 is the wedge type.

Quick question. On the Hatchback, is the high mount brake light assembly (aka 3rd brake light) an LED assembly or is it an array of filament bulbs. Looks small, so I'm guessing LED. Just confirming.

OK, just got them today they are too big for every slot I have thought of so far, too big in diameter for headlights, too long for interior and too big for license plate even. Money well wasted, but I'll save them for something else.

Which bulb is used for the running lights? You know, the amber ones that are on the SIDES of the headlights, not the front.

EDIT: Well, I just went outside and froze my ass off in 48* rain to find out, curiosity had the better of me. Looks to be a 194.

^ They are 194 wedges but unless you take apart the headlight and delete the amber reflector, any color you put in there is going to come out amber.

Yea so whoever can update that list here ya go....

Dome light is a festoon bulb, same as the LB
Map light's are a T10 (Quantity 2)
License plate lights are a T10 (Quantity 2)
Trunk light is a T10 (Quanity 1)

Those are my updates....

For the kids at home, T10 = 194 wedge bulb. :thumbsup:

Took some reading to look this up. Just want to keep it handy. In the first post, the sizes for Sedan are off.

I'm going to add that the festoon for the Sedan is 31mm if you need a size.

As for the Wedge, I noticed that there is room for a longer wedge bulb there so I'll be ordering a longer one to see if that helps back there without going to an adapter and panel setup. As far as experimenting, I'll try to put the longer one into the map light for shits and giggle to see if it will fit.

I used T4 bulbs to replace them and changed them to blue, currently in the process changing the interior to led.

Will a yellow 7443 bulb fit in the rear turn signal socket?

I would like the rear signal markers (in yellow) to be on together with the tail light and still function as a normal turn signal light when needed.

Or is there any other work around to this?

You'd have to wire them similar to the video below, but tap into the turn signals and stop/brake lights (instead of turn and reverse lights like the video).

If they're the same as the 2008 (which I think they are), it should be 7506 bulbs, AKA 1156, AKA BA15S.

I orderd the 7440 led and its a push in style.
