I have had several problems with the compatibility of an 09 body going with 06-08 parts I was wondering if anybody has put an 06-08 body kit and hood on an 09 car and if so has it worked? Ive figured the frame work is the same and all they've changes is the body style. And if that works since its an 06-08 body would the same year model aftermarket headlights and taillights fit on it as well? please Please inform me of this I reallyyyy want to get these lights for my cr and if I have to redo the entire body so be it

the hood fits perfect. the front bumper you need to either modify, or grab 06-08 headlights and modify to fit the headlights itself. The rear bumper fits no problem but you also need 06-08 tails to make the rear end not look funny. Sideskirts no issue.

Sell your '09 and buy an '08 or prior. I'm serious. Dosen't make since to rebuild your car around a set of aftermarket lights.

BTW, both front and rear bumpers from '06-08 fit fine on an '09. Head and tail lights will have to change. Hood is the same, you don't need to touch that. In a nutshell; if it was made of metal it stayed the same, if made of plastic they changed it.

EDIT: enviri beat be to it

thanks alot guys this really helped and @weeyari I understand where your coming from but I just my 09 a couple of months ago and selling it to buy a older model with more miles and worth less value, then buy a body kit and headlights/tailights, would be WAY more expensive then just swapping out the body (which I was planning on getting anyway) to get the lights that I really wanted. But thanks again for answering a bunch of my questions today they really have helped :P

If all you want is the headlights then just buy a front bumper for an 06-08, don't do the whole body.
You can still put 06-08 taillights on the 09+, but there will be a certain part of the taillights that won't be flush, which probably won't be noticeable to most people.

Or just do a retrofit. That way you keep your bumper and probably spent a lot less money overall.

I was thinking of getting the body kit anyways but I wanted to do the lights first but now that I'm going to do the body my stock 09 lights won't fit so I have to buy all of it at once :/ but all that means is its goin to take me a little longer to save up for it so I don't mind haha oh btw does anyone know about how much a paint for the bodykit would be at a decent shop?

u can be lazy and might find a stock 07-08 bumper already painted off ebay for like 100 bucks. paint job prices...they vary wildly..its so hard to find good prices on them. they may go from like 200 bucks if you know a guy to something ridiculous - 400-600...for one bumper. lol.

yeah actually I think a guy at my job said he knew a person that paints for show cars and he could do my new parts for a couple hundred for the whole set I think Im just gunna go with that. With having to buy the whole body kit, getting that painted and buying the new set of lights its gunna run me 1400 at least but Im 400 into it already Im givin myself 3 months at the most before Ill be ready to do it
