Just came in yesterday - got a chance to shoot it before it hit the lot.

I dig the front, not much a fan of the rear.

I test drove an auto at Longo Toyota in Elm Monte about a week ago. They had about 10 of them, all autos though. It drives well. Smooth, substantial, quiet. Much softer than my '10 Fit but also a little less precise in the steering. I wasn't too thrilled with the red instrument gauges lightning. Also, there is no center light in the ceiling.

A Magnetic Grey LE arrived today - the SE wins for sure in the styling department. Much nicer interior, too.

I have to admit, the '12 Yaris SE is growing on me...

My '06 xA will be 6 years old in April, and I already have 85k on the clock. No issues and the car is paid off, but I don't want anything to come up. The other car I'm considering is the Fiesta (which is much easier on the eyes, but unproven in the reliability department). I already know that the 1NZFE under the hood of the Yaris is a tried and true drivetrain that I know in and out, and the discs F/R are a bonus.

I also did a little research today and I was able to find out that the '12 SE is available in a stick. It just is not available in the mid-atlantic region at the moment.

Yes, it does. However every time I built a Yaris SE in my region (using my local zip), the manual was unavailable in SE spec.

I had to check with the inventory manager here at the dealer to see just where exactly they were available for purchase (and where they would have to dealer trade to).

Saw my first TV commercial for the 2012 last night. 3 times in 2 hours on the same station. That's more commercial time than I think I've seen in the past 4 years.

You're not alone, I thought I spotted a new Yaris a few weeks ago but when I got up close I saw it was a Matrix.

There is more than just a passing similarity, it pretty much looks like a slightly smaller version of that car!

Comes with different front and rear bumpers. The Canadian version also comes with side skirts.

I've been in to chat with the dealer, they're trying to locate a white 5MT for me. The xA has 84,670 miles on it, time to make a switch.
