So my best friend and I decided to do some strategic swapping of equipment. I gave him my Bazooka BTA10200 for his Chevy Nox and he gave me an old school Lanzar Vibe 430 amp. I purchased a pair of Audiobahn AW100T 10" subs and went to work on a sealed enclosure that nets a 1.48 cubic foot chamber per sub. The main goals were to give me something different while maximizing weight distribution and be a budget setup. My Bazooka weighed in at 25lbs. The new setup moves me to 45lbs, but as stated before the weight is placed over the axles as opposed to down the driver's side. I have been working on breaking the subs in with Bass Mekaniks 2007. So far I am really impressed with the subs and their response. I was concerned prior to purchasing because Audiobahn was well known for SPL, but not as much for SQ however unless my ears have really taken a dump they have had decent SQ with a variety of types of music. I am not one of those people that cranks up the tunes greatly very often nor do I do competitions however most people that have been in my car have been really impressed. Here are some photos of the process. I mounted the amp to the rear of the box and left room for a cap in the future if needed. The final touch was having the box wrapped in black/tan leather to match my clazzio seats. The guy in the pics is my buddy.

Thanks for the props...what were you referring to about the box not being big enough? Audiobahn states that the max size can be up to 1.5 cubes for a sealed enclosure. They are sounding pretty nice, but also tight. I went sealed to conserve weight and trunk space.

thank you...I was going to carbon fiber wrap the box with real CF as I have a friend who has a huge roll of it however he backed out on me using his CF right now and I didn't want to wait to give my buddy my tube so that is why I went the leather route.

Nice box. Love the integrated carry handles.

Thanks...there was no way that I was going to build another box without handles. They were really cheap on eBay. I believe with shipping they came to 6 bucks for the pair. I will prolly be taking it in/out on a regular basis so to me it only made sense for real handles. I will be picking up the power/ground quick connector next payday I think. I can't get over how they cost 30 bucks...insane.

I did the same thing on my box, carry handles and the fork-lift style quick-disconnect. They were $30, but worth every penny. I can now get the my subs out in about a minute - the 100lb box (3 12's and an amp) will only come out the rear doors, not through the hatch.
