Hi All. I had a CF liftgate installed when I had hail damage as a replacement. (TY Micro Image) I think I have a problem.
:help:
The 'ground' connections in the hatch aren't ground anymore. Any ideas on how to fix? Is there a system ground wire in the hatch I could connect too? Or did Toyota not bother as there is all that metal.

Is there a ground wire I could connect them to? This is going to be a problem for my defroster, but is just annoying for my rear wipers... If not I'm thinking to fish through the hatch and ground where the hatch connects to the main car?

I would probably fish new ground wire myself, unless you can clearly tell where the problem is... And unless theres a factory ground wire in there already(paging CTScott) I can't see how the door itself could be grounded.

I PM CTScott. He told me the white/black wires in the trunk were the ones I wanted but there wasn't enough there to run the wiper moter, much less my rear defogger. Wired through the hatch. Note to all who are considering a CF hatch.

Run a new ground wire BEFORE installing the glass. It would have been much easier.
