Need Clutch

Need to upgrade my clutch. Making about 210hp right now. Looking for ideas on what brands are good.

Clutchmasters is the only way to go. Even at Stage 4, it's nearly close to OEM pedal feel.

Exedy Stage 1 was way too stiff.

I would go CM Stage 3, you won't regret it.

I'm running a stage III with the 9lb flywheel Garm sells...you won't be disappointed.

I'll be more specific: I drove in stop and go traffic with an Exedy in my car, and it sucked for that. Probably great for racing, but not easy for street driving. I'm happy to sell you one.

Considering your power level and budget I think Clutch Masters Stage 1 will work best for you.

Stage 3 is $110 more but keep in mind it also lasts 2-3 times longer on average which will save you money in the long term on clutches, flywheels, downtime and labor.

Bingo...which is why I went with it, to save time/money in the long run. Not to mention the clutch feels spectacular, I drive in bumper to bumper LA traffic almost every week. My average work commute is 250 miles.

Stock is 120-140 TQ and CM Stage 1 is 180 TQ

Spec Stage 1 15% increase holding capacity
Stock is 120-140 TQ and Spec Stage 1 is 150-160 TQ

Both manufacturers recommended you go for a Stage 3/4. Remember, we don't know the exact torque you're making when discussing this.
So this is our "official" disclaimer, that we recommend more than a Stage 1. (have to say it)

So for those of us that have not gone FI, is the CM overkill? I'm looking to upgrade my clutch and flywheel when I drop in my frankenstien transmission, but likely won't be going FI for some time.

I have not gone FI yet, the complete kit is sitting in my office. I drive the Yaris 400 miles a week minimum, most of which is from LA to San Diego @ 5PM and vice versa @ 8AM...so I get all the traffic you could ever hope for. I love the combo.
