Its going to start sooner or later, so I thought I would share what we found...

The 2012's rear fenders seem to be just a bit tighter than the previous gen. This car is fitted with a 15x7 +35mm offset wheel, wrapped in a 205-50-15, drop is 2.5". The rear tires rub - the car valet at SEMA applied so much tire dressing you cant see the marks in the sidewalls that were made moving the car out of my driveway, but it does rub.

If the rear fenders were rolled they should easily clear the tires, or run a +38 or bigger (numerically) offset wheel.

With -camber in the front there are no interference issues.

Do you happen to recall if stock offset is still +42 to +45?

I believe that is the case. Ours came on 15x5 steel wheels, I think the offset was +45.

No, it is actually a 5". I dismounted one to pull the TPS, and it is a 5" wide wheel.

That's one of the first things I noticed about the new Yaris is that the rear now has a lip like most cars. I wish they could have kept it like the 06-11 cars without a lip, would make fitting wider wheels/tires much easier. Now we just have to see how easy it is to roll the fender without cracking the paint... shouldn't be too bad from what I could see.

We will be rolling ours... But with the wrap on it we wont know for sure how the paint holds up.

So I'm guessing a 205/40r17 on a 17x7 -40 will fit just fine. Perfect!
