I've noticed a few dealerships in my area have already marked-down the sticker price on the 2012 Yaris.

This is the lowest priced 2012 yaris I've seen so far:

Any good deals in your area?

Not yet...The only one (a 3-door L, no options) in my area is $15,1XX, and he won't back off a dollar. Needless to say, that dealership won't get my sale, even if they back down after-the-fact.

I hate dealers...dirtbags.

Also, does anyone know if the $1,000 college graduate rebate will return for 2012? I'd rather save that $1k and put down $10-12k cash, and finance only a couple grand.

Too bad that L is an auto...

They offered me winter tires but that's it. It must be hard to sell them for that price, since you can get a brand new Matric for the same price or a Corolla for cheaper, with better interest rate (in Canada)...

Yes, until Jan. 2012...I graduate in May...thus making the rebate null to me.

I meant will Toyota be extending it for the 2012 calendar year? I e-mailed TFS on that site and they asked me to "consult my dealer".

you can get one with the discount up to 6 months before you graduate.

Oh...Now that is sweet.

Looks like I'm going to buy late December!

Outstanding. After my BS, I'll be going to graduate school for a few years, so I require new, cheap, fun, and most importantly, reliable transportation that starts every morning and will never let me down.

Statistically, the Yaris is the car with the least amount of mechanical faults/complaints leveled against it by buyers, based upon reports. Second only to the Corolla, which is more expensive, and more vanilla than I'd prefer.

Plus, there is a guy on YouTube with a sedan that has over 400k with no issues.

All of this, along with the snazzy new looks, sporty interior, and great test drive have sold me.

I can't wait to pick up my little hatch and keep it for 15 trouble-free years while I drive my BMW on the weekends.

In Northern California. Maita Toyota in Sacramento has an SE marked down to $15,988 for A/T and $15,588 for M/T. I bought my A/T SE here and it was $17,500 OTD...

SE models here in south florida were they were asking 20K plus for them, and that wasnt including Tax,tag,title.... shit the sticker on my base auto L was close to 20K i was able to walk out the door with mine for $15k and they were crying when we did that.

i believe if your a college student, or military, or even a previous toyota owner there is supposed to be somekind of discount. and im sure you probably could combine these 3 together for a real nice discount

why?

No dealer specials here but we ordered our SE for $1k under invoice through the AMEX car buying program.
