AI TOY-K969 Install Kit Change

I recently ordered the American International TOY-K969 stereo installation kit. Everything I read said that this was the kit to get. I got on Sonic Electronix and too a look at it. The description and pictures showed that it would definitely fit my Sedan. When it arrived, however, I found out that the kit had been changed and now is only for 2004-05 Scion xA/xB's. The trim was the same, just the pieces needed for the Yaris had been removed. Luckily, I contacted Sonic Electronix about the issue and they are sending me a new Scosche kit (with rush shipping) for free and are not even going to bother getting the old kit back from me.

TL;DR: The Ai TOY-K969 installation kit no longer works for the Yaris even though the Sonic Electronix site shows that it does.

Digging up an old thread but I don't see any sense starting a new one.

I just had the same problem with Sonic electronix; I'll update here when I hear back from them regarding a replacement or refund.

The kit without the Yaris parts is old. I received kit version 6/05 which is Scion only. The version 5/07 adds the Yaris and FJ Cruiser. I assume those version numbers are month/year.


UPDATE 3/28/2012: I received a full refund from Sonic on 3/22.
