I am getting a '12 Yaris in a couple of months with pressed steelies (L 3-door hatch), and I just want confirmation from anyone who might know:

Do these machined aluminum wheels weigh more than the stock steelies? If so, by how much?

Does anyone have some solid numbers on these wheels? Thanks.

Does no one know the weight of these wheels? I really am surprised!

I have no concrete answer for you but since steelies weigh approx 1 lb/inch + 1 lb, I'm guessing those alloys will be up to 2 lbs heavier.

guess ?

they are the same or slightly heavier.

standard mom+pop sedan OEM alloys are usually the chunkiest and strongest of all alloy wheels...hence a tad heavy.

for less dollars (100 each) you can get a lighter aftermarket 15 inch alloy somewhere

Thank you very much.

Thank you also, very much. Problem is, I haven't seen one yet on YW that I like. Trust me, I went through the "wheels on your car" thread. None of them appeal to me, unfortunately.

I just like this set because they aren't overly "blingly", giant heavy wheels that will hurt my MPG for looks.

For me, polished aluminum > chrome-plated anything any day.

Again, thank you both. I think the trade-off is worth the slightly higher weight. Plus, the price is sweet enough for me to justify.

these are under 100 bucks each and are about as non-flashy as you can get, they look so much like an OEM

I use them as winter wheels http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37010

these here are ten spokes and on sale for 84 bucks

Um, the Yaris has four lugs, not five.

Um, all those wheels I showed you have a 4x100 lug version

in fact this is how most wheels are photographed on wheel buying web
sites, the 5 lug money-shot.

When you actually put in your vehicle data then you find out if they
have a 4x100 version of a rim in a particular size and width

They only took a picture of the 5 lug.

These are the wheels I have: http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6177/6167606591_fb82c0a292.jpg
They are SSR Type F's in silver, and mine are 16 inches, they weigh 11lbs each which is lighter then the 15inch OEM steelies.
Mine are also the 10 spoke version, I believe the ones in the picture are 12.

Edit: And yes, mine also are the correct bolt pattern.

I love symmetrical wheels. I can't stand offset patterns that don't line up equally all around. But these look pretty sweet, if a bit plant-like.
