Low tire pressure warning signal came on today. Sure enough had a tire puncture. What first appeared to be a nail or screw turned into....

I think it is some type of "tie" rod. It is threaded on both ends.

It was a shock how it kept on coming out. At one point I literally said to myself, "What the hell?" I was able to plug the hole.
