In the right lighting it looks like the brownish bronze they use on porches

If you ever get a chance, you should watch James May's Toy Stories (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_May%27s_Toy_Stories)...
By the way, go to Walmart and buy the big exhaust tip they sell for about twelve bucks. It really helps...

Hah. One of my early questions was going to be whether or not popular opinion was in favor of the TRD exhaust. If it's too loud/annoying or has any other problems then I'd seriously consider just putting a nice looking tip on it and being done.
I nice looking exhaust dresses up a car, but I've been down the road of loud exhausts and I'm not looking to do that again.

Somebody here was selling an SS exhaust some time ago.. I have the tip and it actually looks pretty good and adds a bit of a thrum to your exhaust. You can't hear it in the car but if you're outside you can hear it.

I'm not into fart cans either, but the Walmart tip adds a little rumble to the stock exhaust. It's not noticeable inside the car, and it definitely improves the look!

I have a Carmine Red 2010 Yaris also. I've found it's a changeable color. On cloudy days, it looks maroon and extra shiny. On sunny days, it looks rust/brown with speckles of gold in it. I think when it gets old and starts to rust, the rust won't show much, it will blend right in. :w00t:

i find the color looks best at night. it looks like a burnt orange/brown. sorta like the original 350Z only much darker.

I think Carmine Red was offered only for 2009 and 2010. We had funny-looking skies here this morning and mine looked almost purple. I'd never noticed it having any resemblance to purple until today.

it shifts a lot with the ambient light. anywhere from plum to burnt orange.

what do you guys think on my car, "bump" rear spoiler, or "rally" rear spoiler?
I'm really leaning towards the rally, I think that in the Carmine Red and with some bronze rims it would be a one-of-a-kind.

i love the rally type spoilers. The bronze wheels would look great on your car as well.

Installed my TRD shift knob and TRD rear sway bar today.
I must agree with what I've read here before, if there is one mod you spend money on it should be a sway bar. Sure, the handling is greatly improved, but more than anything else the ride has improved vastly. No more bouncing around over every bump, the car feels more solid and refined. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Ok, just put in the TRD high flow air filter. I think it was a good choice. I've made too many of my cars in the past unbearably loud with SRI or CAI intakes and loud mufflers, this time around the drop-in filter coupled with a low-dB exhaust is where I'm headed. Probably Tanabe Medallion.
Throttle response is certainly better, which is a good thing. Of all of the driving dynamics of this little car the one thing that concerned me was throttle response. I had never seen such a small engine rev so slowly, this is not a night and day difference mind you, but it's at least acceptable now.
